About Mr Rajesh Kakwani

I'm Rajesh Kakwani, a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon practicing in the North East of England. I studied Undergraduate Medicine (MBBS) and completed a Masters Degree in Orthopaedics at Mumbai University, India.

I am a member of the British Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

​

Before I was appointed as a specialist foot and ankle surgeon in 2014, I undertook fellowships in foot and ankle reconstructive surgery in Bristol and Sheffield.

​

Since then I have led regional and national registrar teaching courses and been involved as a surgical trainer. Additionally, I have been actively involved in research and have published articles, case reports and book chapters about foot and ankle surgery.
